Klein presents on Jewish humor at EJLCC today

Rabbi Roger C. Klein of Temple Tifereth Israel in Cleveland will speak on “Jewish Humor: Why We Laugh” at 3:30 p.m. today at the Everett Jewish Life Center.

A graduate of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion where he earned a Master of Hebrew Letters, Klein also holds a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Chicago. He continued his studies at the University of Tubingen in Germany as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow as well as at the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem.

Klein has lectured on Jewish thought and philosophy, Christian-Jewish relations and music. He also currently holds a clinical appointment in Family Medicine at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.

Klein will also speak on “Biblical Women: Scripture’s Revolutionary Counter Narrative” at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Everett Jewish Life Center Brown Bag.
