Phase One Students Form Quintets to Perform Chamber Music Recital

Students in Phase One of their chamber music study will perform a recital in quintets at 2 p.m. July 21 in McKnight Hall.

Brass Quintet One is composed of trumpeters Luke Hamilton and Garrett Lindholm, horn player Christopher Nichols, trombonist Christian Howard and tuba player Evan Zegiel. Pianist Karnsiri Laothamatas, violinists Juri Takeda and Lian Ojakangas, violist Daelyn Kauffman and cellist David Fenwick will play a piece by Cesar Franck. Piano Quintet in F Minor, Op. 34, by Johannes Brahms will be performed by violinists Stelth Ng and Savannah Bingham, violist Carrie Davids, cellist Alex Baker and pianist Yunling Zhang.

Antonín Dvořák’s Piano Quintet No. 2  in A major, Op. 81, will be performed by pianist Felix Yao-An Hong, violinists Rachel Stenzel and Marisa Votapek, violist Cordelia Brand and cellist MaryGrace Bender.
