Week One Post-lecture Conversations on the Virtual Porch

Following the Chautauqua Lecture Series program, at 12:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday, June 30, join others on the Virtual Porch to discuss this week’s lectures on “Climate Change: Prioritizing Our Global and Local Response.” All are welcome. The conversation will be facilitated by Tereza Jezkova, assistant professor in the Department of Biology at Miami University of Ohio.

Literary Arts Contests

Writers of all ages are invited to submit their poetry or prose by Sunday, Aug. 2 to the writing contests sponsored by Friends of the Chautauqua Writers’ Center (formerly Chautauqua Literary Arts Friends.) Prizes are awarded in the adult, young adult, and youth categories. The author Cloey Olkowski

Birkenstock enthusiast and lover of all things yellow, Cloey Olkowski is the office manager at the Daily. This will be Cloey’s fourth season at the Daily and 20th season at Chautauqua. A native of Buffalo, New York, she is a recent graduate of SUNY Oswego, where she majored in public relations with double minors in graphic design and psychology. Three seasons ago she placed second in the Old First Night Run/Walk and hopes to take home the virtual gold this season.
