Hirtle Callaghan Funds Steve Forbes’ Morning Lecture

At 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Amphitheater, Steve Forbes, editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine, will deliver the morning lecture, thanks to the long-standing and generous sponsorship of Hirtle Callaghan & Company.

“We are very pleased to be sponsoring the morning lecture of Steve Forbes,” said Peter M. Holway, principal and investment officer at Hirtle Callaghan. “Mr. Forbes has built a respected and leading publication in the finance and investment industry. He is a thoughtful and respected voice internationally regarding issues related to finance, investment and public policy. Hirtle Callaghan, as a leader in the ‘outsourced’ Chief Investment Officer industry believes thoughtful public deliberation, debate and leadership are required given the magnitude and uncertainty surrounding global economic and financial market challenges of today.”

This is the 10th sponsored lecture by Hirtle Callaghan. Lecturers from past years have included Deborah Wetzel, now the senior director for the Governance Global Practice at the World Bank, and George Packer, author and staff writer at The New Yorker.

“The Institution is a distinguished and rare place of education and enrichment for people of all ages,” Holway said. “We at Hirtle Callaghan find our partnership with Chautauqua to be in complete alignment with our firm’s mission and values.”

Chautauqua Foundation has worked with Hirtle Callaghan as its outsourced Chief Investment Officer and Investment Staff since 2000.

“Hirtle Callaghan, at its core, believes that a well-rounded, never-ending educational experience, healthy and vibrant debate and social and artistic enrichment are vital to a well-balanced and fulfilling human experience,” Holway said. “Chautauqua Institution is a beacon in promoting that well-balanced and fulfilling human experience and we take very seriously our role in guiding the Foundation in helping provide the financial resources required to keep the Institution thriving for the next hundred years.”
