Charity Nuse, a versatile artist from nearby Warren, Pennsylvania, will showcase her dynamic talents with her band, Charity Nuse & Friends, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on Chautauqua’s Amphitheater stage.
Nuse is a singer-songwriter, mandolinist and percussionist, currently based out of Jamestown, New York. She has toured nationally with Americana-roots band Big Leg Emma and now plays smaller, more personal shows at a variety of venues, calling her group Charity Nuse & Friends; her recent shows have included a number of performances in Chautauqua County and surrounding areas.
Nuse’s style is a fusion of American folk, rock, country and blues; her show promises spectators a vibrant yet meaningful experience, as Nuse reflects on her life’s journey with sincerity and insight. Nuse has a rich history of performances alongside renowned musicians and a dedication to the transformative power of music; her unwavering resilience and uplifting spirit are said to shine through in every captivating show, leaving an indelible mark on her audience.
On her Instagram, Nuse describes her music style as “Philosoulful Americana.” In a post announcing her Chautauqua performance date, she said that “it is an honor to be performing at this historic venue.”
