Phase Two of the School of Music chamber music groups will bring string quartets together at 2 p.m. Thursday in McKnight Hall.
Violinists Juri Takeda and Lian Ojakanga, violist Daelyn Kauffman and cellist David Fenwick will perform String Quartet No. 6, Op. 80, by Felix Mendelssohn. Violinists Byron Fulop Laing and Kaela Scheidemantle, violist Sunwoo Lee and cellist Cullen O’Neil will perform String Quartet No. 13, D. 804, by Franz Schubert. Violinists Aviva Hakanoglu and Zachary Ragent, violist Carrie Davids and cellist Kelly Knox will perform String Quartet No. 15, Op. 132, by Ludwig Van Beethoven.
American Quartet No. 12, Op. 96, by Antonín Dvořák will be performed by violinists Herdís Mjöll Guðmundsdóttir and Alyssa Campbell, violist Megan Yeung and cellist Lindsey Sharpe. String Quartet No. 1 in C major, Op. 49, by Dmitri Shostakovich will be performed by violinists Arman Nasrinpay and Liz Merrifield, violist Patrick Gallagher and cellist Grace Hartman.
