Sheryl Crow’s Grammy Award-winning voice will fill the Amphitheater at 8:15 p.m. Friday thanks to Wegmans Food Markets, which is underwriting the concert.
“We really believe that the arts play a very important role in the mission of lifelong learning at Chautauqua,” said Liz Lingenfelter, store manager of Wegmans Food Markets, Jamestown. “We’re just honored to be able to play a small role in that.”
Wegmans Food Markets has been in partnership with Chautauqua Institution for more than 20 years, underwriting various concerts and events each year.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to continue this tradition,” Lingenfelter said.
Crow is a nine-time Grammy Award recipient whose nine studio albums have sold 50 million copies worldwide.She has had 40 singles reach charts such as the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Mainstream Top 40 and Hot Country Songs.
