Hirtle Callaghan & Co. is sponsoring the 10:45 a.m. lecture Friday in the Amphitheater. Friday’s morning lecture features Theodore B. Olson, who was the solicitor general for the United States from 2001 to 2004.
Olson has served as private counsel to presidents Ronald W. Reagan and George W. Bush, and was selected by Time magazine in 2010 as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Hirtle Callaghan’s sponsorship of this lecture represents the 11th year the firm has supported programming at Chautauqua Institution, and reflects the close relationship the company holds with the Chautauqua Foundation.
“We are absolute advocates and believers of the mission of Chautauqua,” said Peter Holway, a principal and investment officer for Hirtle Callaghan. “We have had a great collaborative relationship and I think part of that collaboration is us supporting programs at Chautauqua.”
The company has served as the chief investment officer to the Chautauqua Foundation for the last 15 years.
“They have always advocated educational experiences … (and) this is why we enjoy our relationship with Chautauqua and the Chautauqua community,” Holway said. “They’re a leader in the country in regard to any … dialogue in the United States.”
