M&T Bank Corporation is underwriting the performance of The Piano Guys at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, in the Amphitheater. The company has been a proud partner of Chautauqua for many years and sponsored previous events like Straight No Chaser in 2013.
M&T headquarters resides in Buffalo, New York. The company was founded in 1856 and now has more than 800 branches throughout the United States.
“Being that we’re part of this community, and that Chautauqua is such a meaningful part, we always like to show sponsorship (support) to the Institution,” said Kevin Brombacher, vice president of M&T.
The Piano Guys is a group of three musicians and one videographer who not only write, play and make videos of their own original work, but also blend classical and popular sounds by covering songs like One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful.” The group has gained a large presence on YouTube, collecting over 1 billion views to date.
